Please see the two gallery pictures of this rare item........I believe this item to be Silk, but maybe not. It is however a very fine fabric with a kind of water resistant backing, it is intended to show the holders identity as a RAF person to Russian Service personnel in World War Two. There were occasions when RAF aircraft went to Russia for specific operations, and this Identity item was to be kept in the left pocket of the wearers RAF tunic. The printing as you can see on the gallery pictures is both English and Russian.....This identity aid is a rare item indeed......as far as I know, not every museum set up has one, but here is your chance to own this, it has been stored folded for a great many years, it is whole and complete......what do you think the asking price should be, I havent a clue myself but will ask for bids in excess of Fifteen Pounds Sterling, I think it is worth at least that !
