Up for auction is a Silver Age The Avengers "The Grim Reaper: The Man Who Killed The Avengers!", issue #52, May 1968 in Fine to Fine+ 6.5 condition and likely better. Keep in mind, I'm not a professional grader, but I have had the experience of grading hundreds of my dads collection and you can see that from my other auctions and feedback I take great care in assessing the comic book. I am working off of the Ebay Pricing Guide, so please refer to it is for reference. I try to be as conservative as possible and the imperfections for this copy are as follows;Excellent color and reflectivity. Very minor stress creases and color breaks along spine Top of spine 1/4" tear with color loss point. Left top tip slightly blunted. Pinpoint indent on each of the Reaper's boot tops. Oval crease at top left edge and under each boot as well as light pen lines along left bottom side of spine. Crease near date all in certain light. Also light pen line between Reaper's legs in certain light. Back cover has light crease at right of top edge and left to corner tip. Minor spine stress crease lines and dented bottom spine with crease. Very light foxing. Very solid copy with great color. Insert paper is off-white to cream and supple. There is no reserve on this auction and it needs a good new home with someone who appreciates this comic. I will ship to read more
