A superb and rare commemorative Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee tankard featuring the Fleet Review at Spithead on 28th June 1977. Tankard comes with the official 34 page souvenir programme for the Silver Jubilee Fleet Review. The reverse side of the tankard shows the HMS London. A sturdy and substantial tankard in a dark golden ceramic with gilt handle. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Fully backstamped with Lord Nelson Pottery backstamp. These tankards were issued to all naval personnel for their own individual vessel during the fleet review, making these in effect a limited edition and therefore highly collectible - no more were made after the event. The souvenir programme is in excellent unmarked condition and gives a wealth of information about the naval vessels, a large plan of the disposition of the fleet at the review, full page colour pictures of the Queen and Prince Philip and of Prince Charles and Princess Anne in full naval uniform.
