We are moving house and have to downsize on our display cabinet items sadly. We bought this pretty heart-shaped and highly decorated little pin cushion about 30 years ago and I am told the hallmark says it is made by Matthew Bolton, 1894/95. It was clearly well loved and well used by the original Victorian owner as the "velvet" pin cushion area is original but used. It is not torn, but it is a little "worn". There's a tiny tiny dent on one side "leaf" and the base is as you see in the photo. It measures a max of 5cm wide, 6cm long and 2.5cm deep. It is really pretty, (actually the photo of the base makes it look a little more "dented" than it is - the second side on photo gives a much more accurate impression - reflection I presume!). I have given it an initial polish, but a lover of Victorian silver could no doubt make a better job of it as it is very decorative!
