This is a fine and rare lamp. It measures 14 inches tall. It is silverplated, with a cranberry font. Unfortunately a long time ago, this was electrified. I removed a cord which was quite old, andthe rod was used to hold the lamp together. The burner was gutted to put in a socket. A hole was drilled in the side of the base to put in a switch, and also there is a hole in the base for the wire. Essentially, this lamp needs a new burner, and the only useful parts on the burner are the Duplex knobs. There is a hole drilled in the bottom of the cranberry font. In restoring the lamp, this would easily be filled and not seen. Other than the burner, the main problem are the two holes for the wiring in the bottom. those would need to be fixed by a metal person, and are the biggest problem to the restoration of this lamp. If you fill the font hole and get a new burner, you will have a serviceable banquet oil lamp. If you have a good metal person who can fill in the holes, then you have a completely restored lamp. This lamp is worth it. It was a very expensive piece, and it came from an old money estate. It is additionally desirable for the collector of cranberry glass.
