MODEL, YEAR, FEATURES: � This was probably one of the last tube radios offered by Sears & Roebuck at a time when the vast majority of radio production had moved on to solid state transisotized sets.� Tubes are layed out on a more modern printed circuit board, and the days of the vacuum tube in consumer radios were drawing to an end.� Attractive cabinet is accented nicely with a textured gold woven grill cloth that found its way onto many radios in that era.� Ever practical, Sears attached the full schematic diagram to the bottom side of this set for any serviceman to readily reference in case of trouble.� Here’s a fine example of their Model 7006 from 1967 that’s been recently serviced, ready to play on for years to come. � � Photos will represent it well.� � � � � � � � � � � � � CONDITION, SERVICING,� PERFORMANCE:� � No nicks, or cracks on the shiny brown styrene plastic cabinet, only faint scratches from normal use over the years.� Grillcloth is undamaged and the dial cover is clear without scratches with excellent graphics and numerals.� Electronics have been gone through with tuner and dial mechanics lubed, and all the typical checks were performed for any out of tolerance components.� Reception is fine across the AM band, picking up our AM stations with its loop antenna.� Power cord is safe and pliable, and the backboard is read more
