A beautiful Singer 31K15 Industrial sewing machine that we believe was manufactured c1925. The machine itself appears to be in full working order. As I'm no sewing expert, I haven't threaded the machine as it's far too technical for me (bobbins confuse me greatly) but I have powered it up and put fabric through and it went through beautifully. There is no clunking with the motor and the motion of the machine is very smooth. There are some small rust spots on the machine itself but that is to be expected of something this age. The table itself has been sanded down and stained. As the underneath was very dark I decided to match the top as best I could. There are still some oil stains within the wood that you can see on the photographs. The cast iron base was initially very rusty in parts so I have rubbed it back and repainted with a metal paint. The Singer detail has also been repainted using a gold metal paint. Finally, within the drawer of this beautiful piece, I have found an original singer box and some of the tools. I have also downloaded the user manual for the machine that I have printed to go with it. Personally, I think this is a truly beautiful piece of industrial history!
