You are bidding on a magnificent Singer Model 401A Sewing Machine, both heavy duty and quietly smooth, that comes with accessories in a fabulous Walnut Desk Cabinet, all in very good clean condition, nothing short of impressive. The unit includes a foot pedal that also mounts under center of desk with a knee lever. The pins that hold the machine in place on the desk work fine for sewing, but the sheer weight of this machine pulls it away from the pins when folded inside the center of the desk, making internal storage impractical. This Singer and Cabinet/Desk was utilized in front of a large window in a Century Home in Northeast Ohio, and as you can see, the top faded around the desk pad. Nevertheless, this Singer 401A and Desk Cabinet remain in very good clean condition and quite uncommon, if not rare. The Walnut wood is fabulous! Personal pick-up in Canton, Ohio, is preferred, but delivery is available on request. The desk is quite functional as a desk simply by using a desk pad, and it measures 44" wide, 22" front to back, and 30" high, just like a classy knee-hole desk, but without the center drawer.
