This is the Singer hard to find model.I have only used the straight stitch.I do not have an instruction book so did not try all the cams or special stitches,It could be cleaned ,oiled to look better..has a few marks from useing here and there.But what can I say ,it is aprox 50 Years old or more.But still sewed a fine stitch.It may run another 50 Yrs.You can see from the pictures it needs cleaning and loving care.SINGER 431G SLANT SEWING MACHINE 110V GERMAN MADEThe 431g is the freearm version of the 411g and the 401g. The 431g is the top of the range slant-o-matic. It does both chain stitch and lock stitch. The singer 431g was the pinnacle of Singers machine designs, being built with direct gear driven rotary hook assembly and all metal gears, coupled with the slant-o-matic slant shank it makes this a machine of outstanding quality, manufactured in Germany, these exceptionally robust machines produce outstanding performance and reliability, resulting in them now being one of the most highly sought after by enthusiasts. They were only made in small numbers between 1964 and 1965, so they are often hard to find.
