Offered here is a set of Buddhist medical/ surgical tools fitted in two heavy solid wood boards, the top hand-carved with Tibetan Buddhist iconography and floral borders surrounding a central Buddha figure.The set appears complete. All tools are hand-forged and tooled iron with additional copper and brass. A few minor repairs to individual tools.The box measures 23 1/2 x 13 1/4 x 3 1/2 inches.Box and tools weigh approximately 27 lbs.Age is uncertain, but I would estimate early 20th c., but no earlier than late 19th c. You must decide for yourself.Feel free to ask questions, but I am not expert on Tibetan Buddhist medicine, and have finally concluded I don't have the time to do the research.Shipping: Will depend on the method, but I am conservatively estimating $50. Will verify for final invoice.No return.
