Here's a RARE, beautiful and very unusual Sioux girls beaded yoke for a dress. This beaded panel is fresh out of an estate. The beaded panel is all sinew sewn, about 99% intact, (only 4 or 5 short strands of beads missing), overall size is 15" wide, 17-1/2" long, the neck opening is 3-1/2" across. The panel is beaded on hide which is soft and in very good condition, only one corner has a slight bend, it was probably stored for years with this small fold, I have not tried to straighten it out as It really does not take away from the beauty of this object, and when displayed in a glass frame it lays down almost flat. The panel is beaded in white heart reds, dark blue, Sioux blue, green, brass and silver metal beads, with white background. There is some minor soiling from being in storage, I have made no attempt to clean this panel and will leave that to its new owner.
