This one is an absolute one of a kind specimen cut from what I can honestly say is my favorite Hubbard Basin petrified log of all time! It's cut from the end of a multi-hued blue, yellow, red, black and rust colored Hubbard Basin log. The log face is quite punky and had obviously rotted before being petrified - it makes for one amazing fossil gemstone display! One of the deepest and intense combinations of colors and wood growth structures I've seen in even the most colorful Hubbard Basin specimens I've offered! This is cut from a museum class petrified log with an amazing external weathered wood grain surface (including the naturally weathered back) and the growth rings are very visible through the entire specimen!! The more light you get into this one, the richer the colors get!! It's a full and complete round with a nicely centered heart right off the end of the log. This mantle piece is really a remarkable natural treasure and essential artwork - one you'll be proud to show off! This is really an excellent, very high quality fossil specimen from Nevada's Hubbard Basin.
