Wow! Stunning lot of SIX (6) 1950's vintage Shenango China Staffordshire (also known as "Parliament") Pattern bowls each measuring just over 6 1/2 inches acorss. Elegant cream color with gold striping and handsome red band. Date codes for two show manufacture in 1952, the other four all date from 1957. Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad Railway Company dining cars used this pattern. This pattern was first made in 1947 for the C&O's post-war "Dream Train" and are difficult to find in this condition. These are NOT railroad backstamped. All are in great shape showing hardly any wear, look like they were made yesterday and have been in Grandma's china cabinet where they were occasionally used on Holiday's and special occasions along with her rather extensive collection of Lenox "Eternal Pattern" china pieces (also up for auction, so take a look!) (To be clear, the Lenox accent plates are NOT part of this auction, but the lot of six can be won in my other auctions. This auction is ONLY for the SIX Shenango bowls.) We are auctioning the contents of Grandma's cabinet over the next few weeks. She took exceptional read more
