Fabulous Skrdlovice "propeller" vase designed by Jan Kotik. A truly wonderful piece of glass made by the Czech maker Skrdlovice, in topaz and blue colourway. The "propeller" vase was designed by Jan Kotik in the 1950's/60's Pattern No 5503. Ref: HI Sklo Lo Sklo p50. They have gorgeous organic form and make excellent stand alone displays. The vase measures 21cms tall x 14cms in diameter at its widest point, it is in excellent condition with only a tiny fleabite to the edge of the base (see picture 3) only mention for 100% accuracy. A great addition to any collection and the prices are only going to go up, for these wonderful designs. Please be aware that you are buying vintage glassware. I always inspectitems in great detail and list any major faults such as cracks & chips in the description. You should expect some age related signs of wear such as very small fine surface scratches/marks. Also many of the items are hand made, they may have small imperfections such as bubbles, inclusions & lumps within the glass and often tool marks from where they have been shaped and worked in the manufacturing process. These are not usually seen by collectors as faults or damage, but as part of the character of hand made glass and are not usually mentioned in the description.
