Stunning Pewter Collector's Iten Stein!! SKS is Scheffer-Klute GmbH, a producer of heirloom quality metal sculpture. Mader's, a German restaurant in Milwaukee, offered SKS pewter. The 1985 limited edition offering included a set of five pewter items - plate, spoon, schnapps, tumbler and stein. Production was limited to one year, after which the mold was destroyed. The bottom is embossed with "SKS-Jahres-Edition 1985 "Malerei des Abendllandes" and the "SKS Zinn 1985" hallmark. This item was created by Master Engraver Wilhelm Blome. The first edition was 1985, with six editions planned. These were to commemorate artists of different countries. "Mallerei Des Abendlandes" signifies the artists are considered painters of the "Evening" or "Western" school. T should be three panels, each a different painting. Panel one is German Master Carl Spitweg's most famous work, "The Farewell." Panel two is Hans Thoma's "Sister & Brother." Panel three depicts Moritz Von Schwind's "The Wedding." More pictures are available upon request. Item is 1.83 pounds, and measures 7-3/4" high, and approximately 5" at base, which has three feet. Under each of the three scenes, the artist's name is written.
