While the blade of this old knife is stamped - Original Buffalo Skinner. And it would certainly be right at home at a frontier style shooting match or pow wow. It was made in Germany after the second world war. I don't believe they even had stainless steel in frontier days. The upswept blade measures 8.25 inches and the overall length is 14. The grip is made of antler slabs secured to the full tang with pins. The blade has been sharpened and appears to have been soldered to guard at some point. While this would not detract from it's utility. It is visible and partly obscures the number 48 stamped into the blade just above the tang. The sheath is leather, right handed and in excellent condition. This item is not a toy. By bidding you state that you are over the age of 18.
