The seller isoffering a very rare original Kodachrome slide of the Greek-flag cruise ship WORLD RENAISSANCE as shown while in South African waters in the early 1980s. Built in 1966 as the French-flag Compagnie Française de Navigation liner RENAISSANCE, she became HOMERIC RENAISSANCE in 1977 before being sold in 1978 to Hellenic Company Overseas Cruise Vessels S.A. (Epirotiki) who renamed her WORLD RENAISSANCE as depicted on the present slide. She was sold out of the Fleet in 1995. This remarkablesharp sunny view was taken from dockside with a professional 35mm SLR camera using a high quality 50mm standard lens. I can attest that this slide is devoid of marks, scratches and blemishes as well as to its high quality, much better than this low resolution scan.
