Slightly used, extremely well cared for. Lionel Classics 6-51004 O Gauge Blue Comet Set still in its original box and packaging. Lionel made this set in 1991 only. This set features a 1-263E steam locomotive with with 2-4-2 wheel configuration, two-tone blue with cream colored trim baked enamel finish, 3-position e-unit, firebox glow, shiny nickel trim, headlight and 12-wheel whistling tender. The passenger cars include a 1612 Pullman, 1613 Pullman, 1614 Baggage and 1615 Observation. All cars feature baked enamel finish, interior illumination, removable roof and operating couplers. From the front of the cow catcher on the locomotive to the deck on the observation car this set measures a 66" long! The instruction manual is included. Each piece includes clear plastic wrap and sits inside the form shaped styrofoam insert with lid that slides into the original outer box. Everything is well protected. The outer box shows very little shelf wear and still displays nicely. I have always kept the box wrapped in plastic as well. The set has only been run on rare occasions (like some holidays). The has mostly been kept in the box, looks like new, I cannot find any scratches or flaws. Also, I have never had any issues with this set mechanically, it has been used very little use since new.
