Slingerland Aqua-Marine 16” Floor Tom Offered here is an exceptionally fine Slingerland 16” floor tom (Model 1405) in the rare Aqua-Marine Glass Glitter finish.� The tom is in excellent shape throughout: the shell and bearing edges are superb with no cracks or splitting, the glass glitter finish is gorgeous under the light, unfaded with only a few cosmetic scratches, and the chrome hardware is lustrous and unpitted. The push-button leg mounts work smoothly, and the legs have their original rubber feat.� The classic Slingerland reverse-flange hoops are chrome over brass. The mahogany-poplar-mahogany shell is in round, and this little gal tunes up exceptionally well. The original owner, from whom I acquired this drum, purchased this gal in the early 60s (it pre-date Slingerland’s installation of badges on their toms), and apparently never had occasion to change its heads: early issue Remo Weather King Emperor batter matched with an early-issue Ambassador resonant head.� The owner ordered the tom with a cymbal mount. I have a replacement wing nut (not original to the drum and hence not shown), that I will supply with the tom. This exquisite gal will give you many years of faithful service. There is No Reserve!!
