This is a Home/Home Lower Quadrant Bracket Signal assembly fitted with Square Posts . No. 485, it is suitable for G scale and 1:19 scale garden railways. This signal differs slightly from my usual bracket signals in that its main post is on the left side and the platform is on the right.( See photo!) This signal has been made by me from polystyrene, brass and epoxy resin in the same way as many of my standard signals, in order to improve weather resistance. The signal assembly is about 28cm high to the tip of the finial. The base of the bracket is about 16.5cm from the ground . This signal has a lattice beam bracket and the indicator arms are fitted with large type spectacle lens' of red and green. Each doll is capped with a GWR type red ball and spike finial, The LED lighting on each signal is resistored to work on a 3 - 12 volt supply. The arms on each of the two dolls are manually operated by their own individual brass counterbalance lever situated near the base of the assembly. This signal is fitted with small stubby lever on each counterbalance lever to enable the signal to be remotely operated by a wire/rod or pneumatic system if so required!
