Condition: Still factory sealed with OBI This 25-track Small Faces CD, Rarities , may seem a little disjointed, filled as it is with tracks designated "version 2" and "version 3" and so forth -- ignore all of that mishegas, which would only matter to the most hardcore fans (who will be buying this CD anyway), and just take in the killer sound, which puts Steve Marriott 's pipes (and the voices of the other singing members) seemingly in close personal proximity to the listener on practically every track , and gets you in to w you can hear the action on the guitar strings on "(Tell Me) Have You Ever Seen Me" amid some really cool and spooky organ fills. And if the sound isn't enough to make this worthwhile, then take in the sounds -- the proto- metal feedback-laced guitar attack that opens "Don't Burst My Bubble," the smooth white soul of "Something I Want to Tell You," the sneering punk posturing of "(Tell Me) Have You Ever Seen Me," and the spaciness of "Green Circles," and all that in the first 15 minutes.
