Due to retiring in a couple of years and moving to a smaller home I am down sizing 40 years of collectables. I have up for bid a carousel horse that is not made of carved wood or metal but a child's spring rocking horse that has been restored with the color of the horse a crackled white paint and a blue saddle with decorations. The body is a hard hollow plastic and measures 25 inches from nose to tail, 15 ½ inches from hoofs to top of ears, 8 inches from hind foot to top of tail, and 4 ½ inches across the rump. The base is a wood stand that is oval and is 6 ½ inches tall, 9 inches wide and 23 inches long. The wood pole going through his saddle measures to a height of 44 inches. The weight is approximately 14 pounds. I bought this carousel horse several years ago from a lady that restored children's spring rocking horses to look like the nostalgic period of the magic carousel horses. This is not for the serious collector but for somebody who enjoyed that magic time that only an old fashion carousel can bring. It will fit into a family room, living room, or bedroom and be an interesting and lovely conversation piece. It has been lovingly maintained over the years.
