This is a plate that has a lot of great graphics. It shows Smokey Bear showing the cubs, Sam and Cindy, a sign which has his birth records recorded on it. Even though the "Officiall Poster Bear & Program Created, August 9, 1944", his living symbol was found April, 1950. His first name given to him by the firefighters that found him was "HOTFOOT TEDDY"! The story of Smokey Bear also comes in hand out form with this plate. This plate is signed, on the back, in gold, by Linda Metcalf, designer. The Cameron of California logo and the year 1985 is on the back as well. This plate measures 8 1/2" across and t are no chips, cracks, crazing, or repair. Great Christmas gift!
