Anna Sandhu's distinctive style with pen-and-ink and watercolors has been popular with collectors since the 1960s. She is a master artist, equally adept with figures, landscapes, genre scenes, florals and animals. Although watercolor represents her signature style, Anna's florals in oil have been very popular in recent years. It is difficult to put Anna's work into any category as her special creative gifts have taken many directions. Anna's beautiful paintings, which bring peace and joy to many, give no hint of the tumultuous events of her life. She spent her childhood years in Knoxville, Tennessee, and can't remember when she wasn't drawing pictures. In her late 20s, Anna worked for CBS news covering courtroom events before media cameras were allowed in court. It was during the trial of James Earl Ray for his escape from Brushy Mountain Prison (where he was serving a life sentence for the murder of Martin Luther King, Jr.) that she met the defendant. She later married him. The somewhat stormy marriage lasted 14 years. Anna is single now and lives quietly with her beloved pets near Nashville, Tennessee. She enjoys her work as an artist as much now as at any time in her life and is represented at galleries across the country. Palermo Classic Art is glad to be one of them.
