From estate in North Texas: Vintage & complete "MSA Snake Bite Kit" in the factory marked Bakelite box, and complete with all original components from the 1930s/'40s era. Rectangular box measures approx. 2 1/8" by 4" and stands about 1" in height. Snap closure lid is clearly marked "MSA" (Mine Safety Appliance Company) ... "Snake Bite Kit" and comes off by pressing in on the long sides to reveal contents. Interior has complete instructions for use inside the lid, and all necessary parts & equipment in the base. Contents are as follows: on top is one (1) "MSA" marked bandage with coiled, white tournequet underneath at lower right. Lower left has a small vial marked "Grease" affixed to base. To left are two (2) white & orange MSA marked, "Tincture Merthiolate" vials. Above are two (2) original, MSA marked Amonia Inhalers, a tiny scalpel, and a suction pump device. Kit appears to have obviously never been used. A great display item, this vintage medical device was once state-of-the-art for snake envenomation treatment!
