Victorian Gold Filled Figural Snake Bracelet. I purchased it years ago from an antique jewelry store where they told me it was made in 1820. An identical one was listed on ebay recently as art nouveau/belle epoque, but I think from the modelling of the snake it is older than that; probably etruscan (mid-Victorian) at the latest. I look at ebay jewelry all the time, and this is the only identical one I have ever seen. I decided to list mine because I am tiny and it has always been a bit large for my wrist, although I have used it a few times as an upper arm bracelet. It is a classic wrap-around Cleopatra Style Figural Coiled Snake Design. Most Likely American in Origin, without a makers mark that I can Find. This is a Very Fine Quality piece of jewelry, made with wonderful attention To Detail in the Features. It is very solidly constructed. I have worn it many times with no damage to it. 47.3 Grams / 1 1/2 Ounces Troy. This Bracelet is in Very Good Overall condition, but it does need to be polished to bring back all its original lustre. This piece should not be confused with the Whiting & Davis Snake Bracelets that were produced in the 1960s. It is somewhat flexible and expandable, but also holds its basic shape. It could fit a petite upper arm and a middle-sized to large-sized wrist. Please note I have used the same pictures as read more
