Very good copy of a rare book and is stated first edition! Snowman was a horse destined to go to slaughter when he was bought on a whim by a horse trainer who saw something special in the run down, dirty horse. From that moment Snowman's transformation into a world class jumper is nothing short of miraculous and the story is truly a page turner. Book is illustrated with over 18 photographs (black and white). I have read on line that another book has been written about Snowman and a movie is being made which I think would increase the interest in this amazing animal and make this book all the more collectible. I hope photos give a clear picture of the condition of the book and dust jacket. Questions welcomed! I am not a book collector but hope detailed description below is helpful: Back cover has a discoloration along top and bottom corner. Front cover excellent, spine tight, corners a little bumped at bottom. Inside cover and end papers some yellowish discoloration plus glue marks, possibly from being a retired library book Inside front cover and front page. On inside of back cover 3.50 written in pencil. No tears of any pages, no writing, super clean. As you can see dust jacket has more damage, tears along edges, where cover folds, spine is faded but colors of front very bright and uniform. This is a wonderful book to read
