Society of Medalists Issue No. 9, 1934 . Bronze, 72mm. By Herbert Adams. This is part of Adams’ medallic translation of the two lines from Oliver Wendell Holmes’ poem, "Song of a Piece of Eight", "Oh what are the prizes we perish to win. To the first little 'shiner' we caught with a pin." Obverse : Young boy fishing. Reverse : Fish jumping from water . Struck by the Medallic Art Company, New York. Condition : Some mottling, marks; VERY FINE - EXTREMELY FINE.
