This is being relisted due to non-paying dead-beat bidder! we have a SOG S1 Bowie knife. This model is long out of production. This is the orginal S1 5th SPECIAL FORCES GROUP bowie knife. Mirror polished carbon steel blade and pommel are deepblued. Blade is .280 thick ! Stacked leather handle with fingergrooves. No Serial # stamped on this one, unlike the commemorative model. Blade is stamped with VIETNAM 5th SPECIAL FORCES GROUP & crest. SEKI - JAPAN . Heavy black leather sheath with a ceramic type sharpening stone in the front pouch. Leather lanyard. The scabbard is also stamped with the crest. I have noticed the later models do not have the Special Forces crest on the scabbard. This knife is new old stock and has never been used. A hard to find original , brand new in the box. The box does have some storage wear. I apologize for my amateur photographs, the knife looks much better in person. It was hard to get a decent shot due to the glare from the blade. This is a very well made knife that is already a collectible or could also be a very reliable and functional tool. This knife retailed for nearly $450, when new and still available. My buy it now price is a steal!
