ANTEX MK2 "G" 18 Soldering Iron Genuine Antex manufactured product from the UK, these products are backed by a manufacture that has been in business since 1945. We now have a facility in the USA that can ship direct to customers in the USA , complete with a manuafactures guarantee. The Iron is rated at 18watts and with Antex's element technology this is the equivalent to many competitors 25w tool. The Iron is fitted with a standard 2.3mm bit which has a high quality Iron plate on the working area, with protective hard Chrome over the rest of the tip. The advantage with chrome versus the cheaper nickel finish is that the chrome will last longer and will not wet (solder will not build up over the none working area). This Iron is being sold an Extra Bit the number 10 is a fine tip, the tip was 0.5mm before the iron plate. With the number 10 bit and 18watts it make the Iron very fast to use.
