When is the last time you saw a vintage ROLLED never folded original one sheet from the 1970's? This is a beautiful example of an original 27"x41" U.S. one sheet movie poster from the classic "SOLDIER BLUE". These are very difficult to find in any condition! A long time can go by without one of these coming up for sale. Rolled, UNUSED, with border wear at bottom right, 1/4" tear at bottom. Graded C8-C9 Excellent condition. Not in perfect shape but still very presentable. A few very minor defects that can easily be fixed by any talented restorer. A perfect candidate for linen backing, will easily appear near mint when done. You will have trouble finding a nicer one. This poster is from a NEW FIND! This has NEVER BEFORE been in the hands of any collector!! Straight from a former studio executive. We will be featuring many more of his posters in the coming weeks/months. If a vintage poster is in terrific unrestored condition like this one (EX C8 or better), many experienced collectors will place a premium on it (when compared to a linen backed/restored one). Most experienced collectors prefer unrestored items to restored ones because they believe they will appreciate more in value. When buying collectibles it is always wise to buy "the best of the best" as they stand a greater chance of appreciation. This is guaranteed to be a genuine ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTER issued by the studio when the film was first released and meant for theatrical display. We are absolutely certain it is authentic. We offer this one at NO RESERVE!! Please be aware that most Original Movie Posters issued before the mid 1980's were issued FOLDED (over 95%). This is NOT considered a defect. They were shipped to theaters this way. Vintage rolled posters do exist; however, they are extremely rare. We can have any folded poster Linen Backed which will make the fold lines virtually disappear. Also please note that most movie posters were actually used at the theater, and some will contain slight imperfections like writing on the back, pin holes, fold wear, small tears, etc. These are all very common and to be expected, but if they bother you, all these minor flaws can be remedied in the linen backing process. Linen Backing preserves and can actually increase the value of a poster. For the most part, any flaws will be fixed and the poster will appear to be in Near Mint condition.
