Soldier's Button Hook dated 1900 - Boer or WW1 ? "Trench Art" - a collectable relic memory item ! This is an inert bullet, crafted into a soldier's button-hook. A practical battlefield item of war, the hook was kept on the body and used by soldiers for a variety of mending/repair tasks - not a weapon - Now, highly collectable as a Personal Conflict Memory artefact ! Classified (for want of anything else) as "Trench Art" piece was manufactured in 1900. So it could be dated to the Boer War or designed for use in WW1, YOU MUST DECIDE ! Measuring 11cm long, the bullet base is mark-stamped: "ART. D. 4. 00 A.RS.P." Whatever era, a great militaria "must have" item !
