It is almost impossible to get a decent quality coin cabinet which isnt made of MDF or other cheap materials, and they always look cheap no matter how they are finished so I decided to make them myself as I originally needed one for my own collection so i'd know it was sturdily made and would be in keeping with my collection and keep them safe. Being handmade they dont have that mass produced 'factory' look and will hopefully be an antique of the future. Obviously being made from solid mahogany they arent cheap but will last forever and are a good investment for your collection to set them off properly. You are bidding on a handmade solid mahogany coin cabinet with lockable doors, with key. The tray and drawer knobs are nickel with solid brass hinges and copper escutcheon The cabinet comprises of 12 trays which can hold a maximum of 384 sovereign size coins 216 half crown size or 120 crown sized or any combination you might need Also has 1 drawer for oversize items (inner dimensions are 24cm x 13cm x 4cm) such as loupes etc. At the moment the trays are blank and the winning bidder can request a combination of any of the following in order to accommodate their personal collection: 32 x 1" recesses per tray - perfect for sovereign or smaller size coins 18 x 1 3/8" recesses per tray - half crowns etc or smaller 10 x 1 3/4" recesses read more
