Solid Silver,Gilt interior Cigarette Case
Hallmarked : Sterling silver; Birmingham; 1940

A sterling silver cigarette case by Charles S Green & Co, Birmingham.
Hallmarked (believed to be 1940) with a gilt interior.
Both front and back of the case are hallmarked inside
(back has only year letter "Q" and lion)
The case is in good condition with engine turned decoration including
an "art deco" style pattern on the front
The pattern is complete and shows little signs of wear
The hinge and clasp work perfectly and the case opens and closes easily.
The interior is gilt with a retaining strap on the back only.
There is some staining of the interior incuding a round stain on the front.
The interior also displays a trade mark "SLIPWAY" on the back (top) and
"No. 302854" preceded by three letters which are which are not clear.
Approx. weight 95 grams.
Size : 80 x 75mm.
