Solid silver pocket watch. Fully hallmarked Chester 1901. Makers mark CH.( watch case also has the numbers 24984 stamped to the inside. I believe this could be Charles Horner. Chester assay office 1898- 1904. The watch movement 7928. Beautiful engraving in the workings .. H Pidduck & Sons..Hanley. Engraved to inside cover presented to W.Bennett by his fellow workmen.sept 1st 1906. Measures 2 inches diameter. The watch has a top winding mechanism which for some reason is not winding, the hands move fine to change the time ( all hands are present including the second hand ),I have not taken it to a watch repairers although this was my original intention.I'm sure it's very straightforward for a knowledgeable person. Supplied with silver 925 stamped albert chain. no date letter on this, believe to be of a much later year.
