HI, This Auction is for a very nice two blade Cigar Jack knife made by the Solingen Cutlery Company Solingen Germany.This knife measures 3 1/2" in the closed position and features genuine Worm-grooved bone.T is a very tight stress crack at the center pin,back scale (see picture).It no doubt left the factory this way.Stress cracks really don't hurt the value of a knife,but if you had two exact knives laying t for sale,you will most likely sell the one without the stress crack first.That's really the only difference.With my years of experience and talking to many collectors and dealers,I've found this to be true.This nice old pocket knife has never benn used,carried or re-sharpened.The bolsters are made of Nickle & Silver and the pins & liners are brass.The blades are made of Carbon Steel and do have good walk & talk with the secondary Pen type blade having very min-able side play at the open position,and I really do mean min-able!.The master has none.The tang stamp on the Master blade is Solingen.T is no pattern number on this knife.My book on cutlery markings does recognize this Company,but it has no information on it.The only other flaws that I can see to mention is some very light handling marks and some carbon spots near the nail nick and a couple of common blade rubs.This knife would be a great knife to carry or collect.For it' read more
