Hi everyone! Sing along with the Jack Russell Terriers around an upright piano! On the top is The King, acting out the role of the song "From a Jack to a King." A jumping JR on the right is holding up his favorite piece of music, "Jumping Jack Flash." The Jack Russell on the piano stool plays away, in front of him the music for "Top Terrier Tunes" and "JRT Sing Along Songs." The others gather around with howling renditions of their favorites. This is an all original, one-of-a-kind lamp that will never be repeated. The piano was made by pouring liquid clay into a mold. Everything else was created by hand by me from ceramic clay: the black and white checkerboard rug, the trees in planters on either side of the piano, the six Jack Russells, the flower arrangement on top and the sheet music. (*Note: one piece of music got left out but will be added to the finished piece--it portrays "Hit The Road, Jack!" ) Once everything was sculpted and painted in detail, all the pieces were attached together with liquid clay. Two high temperature kiln firiings gave this piece a permanent glazed finish. A third firing added 22kt. gold to the rug's border and the king's crown.
