Hi everyone! The holiday season is a time of good cheer and cameraderie, so I have an obliging fox giving a Christmas ride to a Jack Russell Terrier. The fox is dressed in a holly wreath for his head and fancy saddle pad and reins. The terrier has donned his Santa hat. This is my newest ornament--I make each one at a time and design them to be unlike any other. I begin by rolling out my ceramic clay and sketching my idea onto it. Then details are cut out, carved in or added on in clay and paint. Two high temperature kiln firings have left this with a permanent and protective glazed finish. This ornament is one-sided, plain and flat on the back w I've signed and dated it, Barbie Sonnett 2007. A small hole in the top is for gold string to hang on your tree, or for a tiny nail to hang on the wall. Measurements: 4" wide, 3 1/4" high and 1/4" thick.
