Sons of the Desert is the title of the 1933 Laurel & Hardy film which gave its name to the Laurel & Hardy Fan Club. In the film, Stan and Ollie sport fezzes with the Sons of the Desert image emblazoned upon them. Fans of The Boys wear fezzes at their regular tent meetings and these items are designed to complement the fez. These are high quality, machine embroidered sunbursts, rather than the old screenprinted versions previously available. The image and lettering are in gold thread against a red background and are the correct size to fit onto the fezzes available through joke shops and the like. A self adhesive sticker is part of the design to avoid any messy PVA glue, however, the effectiveness of this depends on the surface to which it is being stuck. There are two versions of this item, the "old style" with a plain font and semi-circular sunburst, and the "film version" which is truer to the style worn by San and Ollie in their film. The picture shows both versions attached to fezzes (not included), with the old style on the left fez, and the film style on the right.
