Over the next few weeks I’ll be selling my collection of battery toys which I formed some 30 years ago during visits to the big Brimfield antiques market in Massachusetts. Some, I guess, are rare. Others I know are far more common. I’m just going to put a low reserve on these to cover my costs and leave you collectors to sort out the actual value. A superb example of this early Japanese automata toy with totally unmarked paintwork and no sign of corrosion at all within the battery compartment.I have tested this and it is fully working.It comes with its original box and great graphics.The box is in good condition apart from one corner of the side of the lid, which has separated – please see picture. The toy is 7 1/2 inches high. Postage costs: In order to survive the journey safely from the UK this toy needs a lot of packing, and this adds considerably to the weight.
