This is a very nice vintage Sony Earth-Orbiter model CRF-5100 multiband radio . It has it's original ac power cord, Operator instructions , Sony short wave guide, Table of short Wave Stations In The World and Aviation Frequency Chart. This is the rarer , seldom seen 10 Band model CRF-5100. The ten band receiver covers longwave (150-400 kHz), medium wave, five shortwave bands, FM, VHF Air 108-136 MHz, and VHF PSB 147-174 MHz. This radio came straight from an estate. It is all intact and in clean very good to excellent condition . It does not appear to have had much use. There is a tiny dimple in the top edge of the metal trim on the drop down front cover (see photo, extremely minor) and a couple of slight scuffs and scratches on the bottom but that's pretty much it. It's clean, nice and very attractive. The glass over the tuning scale is clear, clean and nice. The metal parts are all bright and shiny as is the front grille. All knobs, switches, dials, lettering, markings, etc. are intact and excellent. The tuning dial and needle work perfectly. The light works fine. The antenna is in great shape as is the handle. The battery compartment is clean and nice with no signs of leakage or corrosion whatsoever. The band selector knob works great. Again, I don't think this radio has had much use.
