Semi-Vintage Sony Shortwave Radio Had slight battery leakage but I blew out the residue with a blow gun. Tested with new batteries with success, works as it should. No AC cord adapter although but it seems that it can be replaced. Its the universal modern version adapter ( with the 3 circles-code) saying DC in 6V The Sony ICF-2002 is a compact, microprocessor-controlled, dual conversion, frequency synthesized general coverage portable receiver. Direct access tuning is provided along with a multifunction LCD digital readout for unsurpassed convenience and accuracy (5 kHz step on shortwave). Just press the numeric keypad to match the frequency you want to hear. Manual and automatic scan tuning are also provided. Ten memories are provided for your favorite stations. The ICF-2002 tunes from 150 to 29995 kHz for solid coverage of LW, MW and shortwave. Single Sideband (SSB) reception and Fine Tuning are supported. A record output jack is included for taping off the air. Advanced features include: LED tune indicator, keypad lock, 12/24 hour digital quartz clock with timer, Local-DX sensitivity switch, 9/10 kHz MW tuning switch, tone switch and external antenna jack. 7.2 x 4.75 x 1.25 inches 22 oz. (181x118x32 mm 879 g). This radio requires 6 VDC or six AA cells (not supplied).
