On 21 October in Paris, Sotheby's will offer for sale the collection of Dr. Arthur Brandt, whose passion and appreciation for Dada and Surrealism is reflected in this auction.For over 4 decades, the New Yorker purchased a diverse and specialised selection of paintings, drawings, collages, objects and sculpture belonging to the movements of Dada, Surrealism and beyond, both at auction and from a handful of private dealers. Highlights include numerous works by Duchamp and Schwitters as well as a major work by Picabia and others by Tanguy, Man Ray, and Max Ernst.
