South Africa 2003 CULLINAN Centenary Krugerrand Launch Set. The set contains the Proof Krugerrand 1 oz. with the Cullinan Diamond Mintmark, and the Cullinan Centenary Medallion (15.0 grams/.925 fine sterling). T is some evidence of toning on the medal. The 2 pcs. come in capsules, along with the certificate of authenticity (#0066), brochure on "100 Years Cullinan", and impressive Mint wood box of issue. On the top of the box is a placque with states "Cullinan Centenary Krugerrand Launch Set 2003." Limited Edition: 100, Maximum Mintage: 500. It is the first coin to be minted 645 feet underground in a diamond mine. The medal commemorates 100 Years of DeBeer's Premier Mine (the source of most of the planet's biggest and most spectacular gem diamonds). We have been full-time gold coin dealers since 1975.
