Soviet Army Radiation Dosimeter DP-5V Geiger Counter Soviet Military Dosimeter This is unused Soviet army surplus. Came from a military base. It is new, never opened. Appointment of gamma radiation dosimeter DP-5BPower meter dose (rentgenmetr) DP-5B is designed to measure the absorbed dose of gamma radiation in a wide range (from 0.05 mrad / h to 200 rad / hr) and to detect beta radiation. Power meter dose (rentgenmetr) DP-5B is an instrument dual meets stringent performance requirements in the field. Description: Structurally, the power meter dose DP-5B consists of remote measurement and detection unit, connected by a cable.The detection unit contains a gas-discharge counters GMS-20 and SI3BG, reference source and a rotating screen, fixed in three positions:- for measuring gamma radiation in which the counter closed with the screen;- to measure beta radiation, in which the meter is open;-control device efficiency, which is installed in front of the counter check source ..Console contains the electronic measuring device for processing pulses, recording, and the power circuit. The front panel is the turnout shows the device with light switch, sub-bands and two buttons.Powered by three batteries of type KB-1. In addition the device can be powered from DC source or battery of other stresses, for which the device has a voltage divider.
