Svetlana Yevgenyevna Savitskaya is a former Soviet female aviator and cosmonaut who flew on the Soyuz T-7 Mission and became the 1st women to ever walk in space and the 2nd women to fly in space. The EVA took place on July 25, 1984, nineteen years after Valentina Tereshkova became the first woman to ever fly in space. Listed for auction is a commemorative stamped postal cover signed by cosmonaut Svetlana Savitskaya. The cover commemorates Women in Space and is postmarked Nov 30, 1980, and is affixed with one U.S postage stamp. The cover is signed in blue felt pen, measures 3.50 x 6.00 inches and is in fine condition. The signature is authentic, hand signed and will make a great addition to any space collection.
