Great Sowerby Piasa Bird White Opalescent Whimsy Spittoon. The spittoon is 4 1/4" in diameter and 4 1/2" tall. There is one chip on the outside of the top edge (see picture 4). There are no other chips or cracks in the glass. This is a popular pattern that was made in several shapes, all from the same mold. There are some imperfections in opalescent glass of this period, such as bubbles, straw marks, dirt in the glass, and imperfect seams, and are not considered damage, as they are made that way. All sales are final and “as is”. I make every effort to give accurate descriptions of the item and its condition.
