An original document for the Maryland National Guard dated during the time of the Spanish-American War, Nov 28, 1899. This is a oath of enlistment document for a soldier named Charley Waggoner, it says he is 38 and a farmer. In one area he signs his name and says he promises he will support the Constitution of the United States. The document is in very good condition with some light wear.
