This is the second grouping I’ve received from the family of F. S. Gatlin. HE later became a state representative in either Illinois or Ohio, some of these medals say Ohio. I don’t have a photo of Gatlin like I did last time. These are not new, reproduction items. I am showing the grouping but selling the medals separately. This medal features the words "Spanish War Veterans 1898-1902, Philippine Islands, Cuba, Porto Rico, U.S.A." with an eagle, US Flag ribbon & riffle and sword crossed. The back has the directions "N, E, S & W" with "United" in the center. Measures 4 3/8" long x 2" wide. It is numbered 50496. I can’t make out all of the maker’s mark but I can make out “Mayer & Bros.” Opening bid of $100. Email me with any Qs. Check out my other auctions for more great items!
