A Spanish Cup Hilt Rapier, ca. 17th Century,Having a wire bound grip (losses to wire), twisted ball pummel, and straight twisted and etched quillions. Heavily engraved cup depicting a portrait and coat of arms medallions. The 38 1/2 in. tapering diamond sectioned blade is engraved with the maker's name 'A.S.W.O.V.C.Z.+' on the gutter of the blade. Overall length 46 in. Please see photographs.Condition: Commensurate with age.
